The Team

Elaine Sullivan-Digre, co-founder

Prior to co-founding SullivanWorks, Elaine worked in the sports and entertainment industries for more than 17 years, including VP of sales and marketing for the San Jose Sharks and San Jose Arena (now HP Pavilion) and VP of consumer services for the Houston Rockets and Comets of the National Basketball Association. Areas of responsibilities included strategic planning and budget management; ticket, luxury seat and suite sales; customer relations management; team, event and facility marketing and public relations; community relations, game and event operations; retail merchandise, game broadcasts and managing a staff of over 80.

Nate Digre, co-founder

Nate is an award winning art director. Whether developing complete corporate identities or consumer based collateral and advertising materials, Nate’s eye for color and clean, strong visuals is a signature strength. He is an experienced graphic designer and production manager with extensive knowledge of the practical and technical aspects of software and the printing and production processes for advertising and collateral. Nate was responsible for managing the worldwide marketing campaign launch for BEA Systems, which included print ads in five languages, web banners, web pages, billboards, indoor signage, direct mail and tradeshow materials. Nate has also served as an adjunct lecturer in the advertising department at San Jose State University.

Mike Austin, brand and message development specialist

Mike was a creative director and writer for his own Silicon Valley agency for over 20 years. Along the way, he has worked with some of the biggest brands in technology: Fujitsu, Ampex, NEC, Infogrames, Altera, Maxtor and BEA, to name just a few. He has produced work for all kinds of businesses—eveything from semiconductors to video games, disk drives,  enterprise software, financial planning, newspaper, restaurants and a golf car dealer.

Birgit Johnston, public relations specialist

Birgit was an integral part of a team of city and Arena staff that planned Grand Opening events for the San Jose Arena for the public, the media and community luminaries. She also served as director of communications for Silicon Valley Manufacturing Group and subsequently, as director of communications at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Most recently, she was senior manager of corporate communications for Solectron Corporation (over 65,000 employees worldwide), responsible for developing and implementing all global media relations activities.
